2500 WATT Charity Auction

October 1, 8. 19:00-22:00

25 contemporary Hungarian graphic artists redefined 25 industrial lamps for the invitation of Möbelkunst and Budapest Design Week. Thus the industrial design objects became unique, artistic creations. The upset price is 20,000 HUF for each piece. The charity auction is led by Nóra Winkler. The auction is public, a limited number of seats are available, so, please, arrive early! Free entry.

2500 WATT Exhibition + design brunch

October 1. 11:00-19:00

Möbelkunst and Budapest Design Week festival asked 25 contemporary Hungarian graphic designers to redefine 25 industrial lamps. The exhibited lamps can be bought at an auction on 8th October. The exhibition is accompanied by a daylong design brunch, during which the huge loft store-house is open for visitors. Amazing food from nemsüti, Djs and loads of surprises! Each day during Design Week the Möbelkunst design fair is open for visitors who can select from over 1000 original pieces of design furniture, lamps and accessories made between 1950 and 1980.

Gouba – Gozsdu BazAAr

The free market where Hungarian designers, artisans and antique dealers present their unique merchandise is organised each Sunday in Gozsdu Passage downtown Budapest. At this year's Design Week an unusual workshop is taking place with the most popular and creative participants of the market and visitors can get to know their individual approach to art, see how their unique pieces are produced and where they find inspiration.

KREATIMM – DESIGN TO GO

The fair organised on the first weekend of Design Week is related to the Museum of Applied Arts' „UNPOLISHED – YOUNG DESIGN FROM POLAND”. Visitors can not only buy contemporary Polish design objects, but can even meet some of the designers in person. Hungarian designers will also be present offering their merchandise, this time the focus is on environment-consciousness, recycling and rethinking, and value protection.

Walking-Chair sales exhibition at Printa

Urban Gridded Notebook or Bottleboy – these are just some of the Austrian Walking-Chair Design Studio products, that can continuously be found at Printa. During Budapest Design Week a part of the shop is dedicated to Walking-Chair conceptual design objects as they are the festival's star guests this year.

WAMP – DESIGN AND GASTRO FAIR

CZECH DESIGN AT WAMP

Organised each month ever since 2006 WAMP joins Budapest Design Week with a two-day fair this year, organised in the name of diversity. As a result of the cooperation with Czech Design SUPERMARKET young Czech designers visit Budapest making WAMP even more diverse and colourful. In addition the usually participating recently graduated and acclaimed designers, street art pick and paint await all those longing for colours to recolour weekdays with the help of Hungarian street artists.
